Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava hekd a meeting with the IOM Georgia Chief of Mission, Sanja Celebic Lukovac.
Closer involvement of the diaspora in the development of the Georgian economy was the main topic of the discussion. It was suggested to conduct a Diaspora Economic Forum with participation of the representatives of the Georgian Diaspora abroad as well as the members of the Georgian Government in October.
The Forum will help diaspora representatives to get acquainted with the business environment and investment opportunities in Georgia. Participants will also learn about state programs promoting business.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili, Head of the Investment Policy and Investment Support Department Giorgi Edilashvili and Deputy Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency Tornike Zirakishvili also attended the meeting.
