ALEKSANDRE KHVTISIASHVILI HAS ADDRESSED THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE GEORGIA INVESTMENT FORUM IN LONDON

On 1 March, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, addressed the participants of the Georgia Investment Forum held in London in a virtual format. The forum was organized by the Embassy of Georgia in the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The Deputy Minister focused on the European integration process of Georgia, the investment and business environment in the country, current and planned projects of regional importance, Georgia’s transit potential and significance of the “middle corridor” from the standpoint of Europe-Asia connectivity.

Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili also spoke about Georgia-Great Britain bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of Wardrop’s strategic dialogue in terms of deepening cooperation in specific fields.

Heads of Georgian, British and international companies operating in the fields of economy, business, trade and investments, representatives of Georgian government agencies and large international consulting organizations participated in the Georgian Investment Forum. The forum aimed to highlight the role of Georgia as a corridor connecting Europe and Asia and Georgia’s investment potential in renewable energy, agribusiness, real estate, tourism and other sectors
