The meeting of Nikoloz Samkharadze with the Ambassador of Bulgaria, H.E. Dessislava Ivanova
The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held the meeting with the Ambassador of Bulgaria, H.E. Dessislava Ivanova to discuss the Georgia-Bulgaria bilateral relations and positive dynamics of cooperation.
The parties touched upon the progress of Georgia in EU and NATO integration.
The Ambassador expressed intact support to territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as EU and NATO integration of Georgia. As noted, the Georgian Government highly values the support of Bulgaria to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and the EU and NATO integration of the country.
The parties touched upon the cooperation in the cultural, educational and economic spheres and dwelt on the foreign policy resolution and priorities of Georgia.
N. Samkharadze stated that providing the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, the Parliamentary relations between the countries are at a high level.
“Despite, deriving from the pandemic, the scheduled visits have been at some extent failed. However, this year we intend to resume the visits at the Committee level and intensify the inter-Parliamentary relations”, – he noted.
