A new multimodal terminal opening

n January 2021, on the territory of the Batumi Sea Port, it is planned to commission a new multimodal terminal of the international company “Wondernet Express”. The construction is carried out with the participation of the world’s leading companies in this field. The modern terminal will specialize in the transit, processing and storage of products from Central Asia countries, in particular Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, with the aim of further transshipment to the world markets. It should be noted that this terminal in Batumi will comply with international environmental standards and regulations.
The conceptual design of the terminal was prepared by Royal Haskoning DHV and will become part of a new logistics corridor: Central Asia-Azerbaijan-Georgia, and then across the Black Sea to various consumers in Europe, Africa and other destinations.
At the initial stage, the production capacity of the terminal will allow processing mineral fertilizers up to 1,200,000 tons per year.
