The diaspora can play a decisive role in terms of stimulating the country’s economy – Vladimer Konstantinidi
On 17 and 18 November 2022, London will host the Globalize UK Conference. The annual conference is a unique platform to bring together startups, innovators, technical experts and exporters. Besides, it aims to share the experience in the field of technology development, export opportunities and innovation, and to disseminate information about investment programs.
Speaking before the participants of the event, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vladimer Konstantinidi spoke about global market trends and the opportunities for expansion of Georgian startups and exporters in the international market.
In his address, Vladimer Konstantinidi paid particular attention to the involvement of the Georgian diaspora in the process of promoting Georgia’s business environment and investment potential, economic development and bringing it closer to the international community. According to him, the Georgian diaspora can play a decisive role in terms of economic growth, business development, attraction of investments and identification of new markets.
“Today’s conference is also an important message for our society, as well as for our compatriots living abroad and foreign friends of Georgia. Today’s event is an emphasis on the great potential of the Georgian Diaspora, its role in the process of our country’s economic development and rapprochement with the international community. At the same time, this is an opportunity to strengthen the dialogue with our compatriots and introduce them to all the novelties that the state offers to those interested in investing and doing business in Georgia” – the Deputy Minister said.
According to him, the involvement of the Diaspora in the ongoing processes in the country is taken to a high level by the state, which is reflected in the country’s 2021-2024 government program – “Toward Building a European State”, in the foreign policy strategy and is implemented accordingly
