Visit of the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Japan to Georgia
As part of strengthening international ties and expanding opportunities for transport and logistics cooperation, the Batumi Oil Terminal had the honour of hosting the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, Mr. Otaro Iwatare on 27 March this year. This visit marked a significant step in exploring the prospects of joint work aimed at strengthening transport and logistics hubs linking East and West through Georgia’s strategically important geo-economic location.
During his stay, Mr. Iwatare conducted a detailed inspection of the terminal’s infrastructure capabilities, focusing on the efficiency of the processes of receiving, storing and shipping oil products for various purposes. The visit was a key point for discussing future transport and logistics cooperation, including the potential for transporting Kazakhstani cargo, in which Japanese corporations are already actively involved.
This visit confirms the aspiration of the Batumi Oil Terminal to expand its international partnership and strengthen its status as a key link in the global logistics chain, ensuring the uninterrupted movement of goods between Asia and Europe.
