BILATERAL RELATIONS BECOMING EVEN MORE STABLE

From 10 to 12 October 2025, Rector Sokhumi State University Tea Jugeli visited Turkmenistan to take part in the international scientific conference and exhibition “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State”.As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and Sokhumi State University.Within the framework of the visit, a meeting took place with Rector of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University B.Atamanov. A meeting was also held with Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan G.Yusupova.During the meetings, the parties focused on initiatives that would help strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and academic groups, and expressed their willingness to foster mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science and education. At the end of the successful meetings, a seminar at the Institute of International Relations, and a lecture at Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University were held. During a live dialogue with students, the Rector of Sokhumi State University provided detailed and precise answers to their questions.T. Jugeli emphasized that expansion of inter-university ties will serve as a solid foundation for strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia in the field of education.
