Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili hosts President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and his delegation in Mtskheta
The informal part of the working visit by Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held at Chateau Mukhrani in Mtskheta. The guests participated in the process of preparation of traditional Georgian dishes. Traditional Georgian dances were performed in honor of the delegation.
Irakli Garibashvili and Ilham Aliyev familiarized themselves with photocopies of the examples of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage preserved in the collection of the Georgian National Museum and reflecting the life and crafts of various social strata of Azerbaijanis.
The process of putting together said collection is linked to the Caucasus Museum founded in 1852. The collection has been enriched and studied as a result of numerous scientific expeditions and donations. The collection was presented by the team of the Georgian National Museum, in collaboration with Azerbaijani colleagues, at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
