Books of Kazakh scientist given to Abai auditorium in Georgia
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Georgia presented Sukhumi State University with books by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician Yerlan Sydykov. Kazakh literature will be kept in a special auditorium named after Abai Kunanbaiuly. The room was opened three years ago in honor of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, writer, and thinker.
And the library with books about Kazakhstan and with Kazakh authors is being regularly replenished.Professor Badri Nachkebia, the head of Abai’s room and honoured journalist and political scientist from Georgia, thanked the Kazakh side for the valuable gift: “The works of the Kazakh author about the great poet-improviser Zhambyl Zhabayev, who dedicated many of his poems to Georgia and was personally present at the celebration of the 750th anniversary of Shota Rustaveli’s poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” in 1937, will not leave Georgian readers indifferent”.The professor expressed confidence that the books by philosopher and thinker, poet Shakarim, as well as Kazakh public figure and statesman Kunanbai – father of Abai and brilliant writer, teacher and linguist Akhmet Baitursynov will enrich the library of the Georgian higher educational institution.Badri Nachkebia emphasized that the introduction of Georgian students to Kazakh history and literature helps to bring the peoples of Kazakhstan and Georgia closer together: the formation of friendly relations, the adoption of culture and heritage.
