A round table was held in Tbilisi dedicated to the motto of 2024 in Turkmenistan – “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”
On 23 January 2024,theEmbassyofTurkmenistaninGeorgia held a round table dedicated tothe motto of 2024 in Turkmenistan – “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”.
The round table was attended by journalists of the Georgian First Channel, “TV-24”, “The Georgian Business Week”, news agencies “News Day Georgia”, “Inter press news”, online media “Geoecohub”, newspapers “Resonance”, “Multinational Georgia”, “Free Georgia”, “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
In his speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia D. Seyitmammedov noted that the 300th anniversary of the birth of MagtymgulyFragi, a great poet and thinker of the East, the founder of Turkmen classical literature, whose creative heritage, being an invaluable national treasure, has become an integral part of the treasury of world culture, is solemnly celebrated at the international level in 2024.The Ambassador informed the participants of the round table about the planned celebrations dedicated to this date.
During the speech, the Ambassador also noted that a book by the President of Turkmenistan SerdarBerdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland” dedicated to the results of 2023 was published. He stressed that today the President of Turkmenistan successfully continues the work begun by the National Leader of the Turkmen people to increase the role of youth in the statebuilding, with whom the happy present and bright future of the country are connected.
The participants of the round table emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening intercultural ties between our countries.
In particular, Honored Journalist of Georgia, Professor BadriNachkebia noted that an integral component of the modern Turkmen-Georgian interstate dialogue is the cultural and humanitarian sphere, where Turkmenistan and Georgia have good traditions of joint activities and creative cooperation.
Liana Ghorgholiani, Editor-in-Chief of the online edition of “Geoecohub” stressed that the events planned for the anniversary will contribute to the further study and wide popularization of the richest literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, the outstanding master of the word and philosophical thought, who elevated not only Turkmen but also world literature.
At the end of the round table, the participants were shown a documentary film dedicated to MagtymgulyFragi.
