Flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Venice to Begin
Starting on December 2, Kutaisi International Airport will add a new, third Italian destination: Venice.Wizz Air will operate flights on the Venice-Kutaisi-Venice route twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using a modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.The United Airports of Georgia successfully completed intensive negotiations with the airline. Connecting the two historic cities of Kutaisi and Venice will make travel between Georgia and Italy even more affordable, comfortable, and diverse.Since starting its operations in Georgia in September 2012, Wizz Air has carried almost 9 million passengers between Georgia and other countries.Since 2022, Wizz Air has been the leader in the Georgian aviation market. The airline currently operates 24 routes to 13 countries from Kutaisi, including recently restored routes to Madrid (Spain), Hamburg (Germany), and Lyon (France).According to data for the first seven months of 2025, Wizz Air served nearly 900 000 passengers in Georgia. In the same period, the airline performed approximately 4 800 flights to and from Kutaisi, which is almost 9% more than in the same period last year.
