Meeting of the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan with Prime Minister of Georgia

On 24 February 2026, during her official visit to Georgia, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova met with the Prime Minister of Georgia I.Kobakhidze.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen–Georgian cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Particular emphasis was placed on interparliamentary cooperation, which plays a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral political dialogue and advancing interstate relations. The significance of interaction and the consolidation of ties within international organizations was also underlined.

The participants of the meeting noted the immense role of regular meetings in strengthening cooperation, maintaining open dialogue, and creating a solid foundation for the further development of mutually beneficial relations.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties expressed their aspiration to further expand cooperation based on trust and mutual respect.
