Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Georgia held a meeting with the Mayor of Tbilisi.

On June 22, 2020 the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Georgia Baurzhan Mukhamejanov conducted a working meeting with the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze.
During the meeting the current situation in connection with the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as economic consequences in Kazakhstan and Georgia were discussed. B.Mukhamejanov positively noted the successful experience of Georgia in the fight against COVID-19. As a result of timely comprehensive measures taken by the Georgian authorities, the epidemiological situation in the country is satisfactory.
In the context of strengthening ties between the twin cities of Nur-Sultan and Tbilisi, the sides noted the wide potential for the development of social, economic, and cultural-humanitarian relations. In this regard, B. Mukhamejanov informed about plans to establish the Kazakh-Georgian Business Association.
Within the framework of celebration of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abai Kunanbayev, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in active cooperation with the city authorities of Tbilisi is considering the issue of opening of the street named after Abai in the capital of Georgia during the current year
