THE NATO SECRETARY GENERAL’S VISIT TO GEORGIA HOLDS PARTICULAR SIGNIFICANCE FOR NATO-GEORGIA RELATIONS – ILIA DARCHIASHVILI

“The NATO Secretary General’s visit to Georgia holds particular significance for NATO-Georgia relations,” remarked Ilia Darchiashvili, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, when assessing Jens Stoltenberg’s visit.
Darchiashvili emphasized that the Secretary General’s visit will inject fresh energy into the evolving relations between NATO and Georgia. “This visit provides new momentum for our ties and opens up new avenues for further collaboration,” he added.
The minister highlighted the visit’s substantial discussions on bilateral cooperation between NATO and Georgia and outlined forthcoming steps. “This visit builds upon recent high-level exchanges, including the Prime Minister of Georgia’s participation in the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting at NATO headquarters,” he pointed out.
Jens Stoltenberg’s visit to Georgia took place on 18-19 March, marking his fourth visit to the country within the past decade.
